All Newton telescopes should be adjusted before the first use and then regularly, To obtain a sharp image. We therefore adjust all Newton mirror telescopes before they leave our house. The Skywatcher Skyliner 200P 200/1200 Parabol Dobson will be inspected by us before delivery and definitely pre-adjusted.
Telescope Skywatcher SkyLiner-200P Dobson 200 / 1200mm f / 6 Newton with Pyrex mirror and accessories
We also offer this telescope as a complete set with zoom eyepiece, Barlow and variable lunar filter: telescope set
Dobson are ideal telescopes for beginners and beginners: simple to set up, intuitive in operation and have a very good price-performance ratio with regard to great opening and high stability.
This Dobson from Skywatcher has a large 200mm (8 inch) opening, 1200mm focal length and a parabolic main mirror. The opening of 20cm provides for more light output, compared to the "smaller" brother with 15cm opening. The 8 "Dobson is one of the perfect all-rounder for beginners and advanced players, with an opening ratio of f / 6, this newton has less coma than a f / 5 or even f / 4 mirror telescope.
Thus, both detailed lunar and planetary observations are possible, like the atmospheric bands of Jupiter, the rings of Saturn, in which the Cassini division is recognizable with good seeing. But also Deep Sky objects to observe well, like the galaxies (M81, M82) in the Great Bear, the Leo triplet (M66) or the ball star cluster M13.
Rockerbox for telescope Skywatcher SkyLiner 200 Dobson 200 / 1200mm f / 6 Newton with eyepiecesThe telescope sits on a so-called Rockerbox, which has a stable construction. Since the tube is screwed to the Rockerbox (mount), this is one of the most stable Dobson available. With other Dobson the tube is attached or placed on the Rockerbox. The desired celestial objects can thus be targeted by sliding on the tube. The tripod plate runs on plain bearings and the telescope can be rotated into the desired direction of the sky (azimuth) by the lateral handles. At the same time, you can control the speed in the angular orientation (height) and thus also clamp it.
There is a storage space for the eyepieces at the Rockbox. All in all a light and stable operation, which is also suitable for beginners.
The telescope has a precise 2 '' Crayford extension, including a reduction to 1.25 ". This Crayford extension is superior to the conventional tooth and drive of favorable telescopes, it is more robust and allows a much more precise setting of the sharpness.
Note:
For planetary observations, we recommend a double barlow lens to achieve the necessary magnification. Or a 5 - 6mm eyepiece.
As a Dobson, the telescope is not adjustable in height, such as a telescope with mount and tripod. The telescope is put on the ground with the Rockerbox (mount).
For moon observations, we recommend a lunar filter, for more details and protection of the eyes.
Product advantages:
Good price-performance ratio in terms of opening & stability as you can buy a great opening at a low price.
Ideal for beginners, advanced and quickspeakers
Allrounder for moon planet observations and deep sky objects
Easy to use and quick to use
Tripod plate with sliding surface facilitates an almost jerk-free and wobbly viewing
Robust rocker box (mount). By clamping the friction brake to the side wall of the Rocker box, the construction is very stable.
