EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC HR Coma Corrector
The Explore Scientific Coma Corrector is in a class of its own: it is also fully usable visually, and extends the focal length by only 6%. The Explore Scientific Coma Corrector comes complete with a helical fine focuser - so you have it all in one set: adapter for T2, adapter for M48 and helical focuser for visual observation. The Coma corrector has a visual polystrehl of 0.98 at f/4 and 0.96 at f/3! So it can always stay in the telescope - then not only the Jupiter is sharp, but also his moons. What that actually means, you can see on the slides in the other pictures (for a 400mm f/4, f/3.5 and f/3).
Please note: THIS IS ALL FOR THE FLAT FIELD - WITHOUT RE-FOCUS! Picture diameter is 30mm - more makes sense with 2" and fast optics. The length of the corrector tube is about 85mm.To use the HR Coma Corrector visually, there must be at least an adjustment of 32mm on the focuser when the focus is on the plane For photographic use this is not critical - the HR Coma corrector places the focus outwards by about 35mm.Who comes into focus with a camera without a corrector has no problem with the corrector.
The image of the Orion Nebula was made with a 150/750 Newton and has point-like stars down to the edge area. With these devices with F5 or less an absolute must for Deep Sky Photography!
