The PLAT-1 photo rail consists of a Vixen/Synta prism rail, a movable camera saddle and a viewfinder shoe as a unit.

It is used to mount a camera and a viewfinder on a mount with a Vixen/Synta clamp. This means that a camera with a telephoto lens can be easily aligned with an object using a finderscope, or a viewfinder equipped with an MGEN autoguider can be used to take perfectly guided shots with a telephoto lens.

The photo rail is light and fits in any luggage. Works without tools! A 20 cent coin is enough!
