The HEM44 mounts from iOptron offer the excellent features of a "large" equatorial mount and, thanks to the "Harmonic Drive" technology, do not require counterweights /counterweight rods. Despite the low dead weight of only 6.2 kg, the maximum payload is up to 20 kg . The HEM mounts have an excellent ratio of weight to payload and also have great features such as permanent correction of the worm error ( Periodic Error Correction ), automatic stop of the mount in the event of a power failure without subsequent realignment when operation is continued, precise tracking accuracy (even without guiding), internal cable management, a dual dovetail clamp for Vixen and Losmandy rails, high-quality CNC-milled and anodized materials, the proven iOptron Go2Nova 8409 software , built-in WiFi , and the extremely quiet drive typical of iOptron mounts.
