Pegasus Astro Off Axis Guider Indigo OAG

Product no.: PEG-INDIGOAG

Pegasus Astro Off Axis Guider Indigo OAG

The thin and solidly designed OAG from Pegasus Astro can be easily connected to the Indigo filter wheel. It enables tracking through the main telescope and thus avoids errors caused by deflection.

Direct connection to Indigo filter wheel with approx. 14 mm optical path (33 mm total)
53.5mm free opening
large prism
OAG partially rotatable, prism movable

The thin and solidly designed OAG from Pegasus Astro can be easily connected to the Indigo filter wheel. The Off-Axis Guider features through holes (M2 and M3) in its housing for direct connection to numerous CMOS cameras and other filter wheels.

The main advantage of an OAG is that it uses the same optical path as your recording camera. This avoids differential deflection issues that can occur when using a separate guide scope above your main telescope.

Thin design
The Indigo OAG has a very thin design. Its back focus is 10mm, plus 4mm of the telescope adapter. So a total of 14 mm. The off-axis guider is CNC machined from aircraft-grade aluminum alloy 6061, ensuring a lightweight and solid device.

Adjustable prism
The height of the prism can be easily adjusted to provide better illumination of the tracking camera's field of view. If your recording sensor is large, the prism can be moved up (and secured with set screws) so that the sensor's optical path is not blocked.

Big prism
A 12×8 mm, fully multi-coated prism provides high illumination for your tracking camera. The stars are round and bright throughout the off-axis guider field.

Large format
The Indigo OAG supports the 62mm through hole pattern for direct connection to numerous CMOS cameras and filter wheels.

The tracking camera connection is a 1.25" receptacle.

Alignment of the image section can be achieved using the 3 screws that allow the telescope adapter to slide in the slots.

Solid construction for heavy recording equipment
The thickness is 10mm and the construction is solid enough to support heavy recording equipment.

The free opening is 53.5 mm.

The package contains:
an M54F thread adapter for the telescope connection. (adds 4mm thickness)
an M48F thread adapter for connecting the camera. (adds 4mm thickness)

Indigo filter wheel combination
The Indigo OAG can be mounted directly on the Indigo filter wheel, which saves the light path of the camera adapter on the off-axis guider.

A combination of both products results in an optical path of 19 mm + 14 mm (33 mm in total).
