The effect of the "blue border"

Comparison of a 5" ED-APO with three lenses including FPL51-like glass (127mm, 952mm f/7.5) and a 6" refractor (152mm, 1200mm f/8) with chromatic aberration at an air vent.

The blue fringing is visible at the edges of high-contrast objects. Details are somewhat blurred here. Due to the higher resolution of the 6" refractor, detail recognition is similarly high.
