A completely new type of polar finder for easy alignment: The Vixen polar finder PF-L II for AP and SX mounts shows the Polaris and 2 other stars (Delta UMi and 51 Cep) in their true position. Simply adjust these stars so that they are aligned with the reticle by rotating the polar finder. The position of the North Pole is now correctly displayed. Then you only need to set the North Star to the corresponding year mark. With the PF-L II, the complicated alignment using the date and time is no longer necessary.

In the southern hemisphere, simply use the trapezoid (Sigma, Chi, Tau and Upsilon Octantis) of the constellation Octans and align the reticle with the trapezoid stars so that they are congruent.

The polar finder is equipped with a built-in light that can be dimmed in several stages. This goes out automatically after 2 minutes due to the automatic switch-off. Compared to the previous model, the PF-L II also scores with improved edge sharpness.
