The precisely manufactured aperture ring, for mounting on the primary mirror, reliably covers the mirror brackets* and the outer area of the primary mirror, thus helping to avoid unwanted diffraction effects caused by the brackets and a sloping edge of the primary mirror. A 2mm chamfer in the inner ring minimizes unwanted residual reflections on the primary mirror from the inner edge of the aperture.
scope of delivery
Please note! The aperture ring is not compatible with TS-Optics telescopes!!!
*General remark :
The assembly takes place on the original holding rubbers. These may have to be shortened a bit because in their original state they overlap the main mirror very far and can protrude under the aperture ring! The original sheet metal discs on the rubber buffers can be omitted because the aluminum cover is sufficiently stable.
