20 new moons discovered around Saturn

Ringed planet overtakes Jupiter as the planet with the most moons in the solar system.

King of rings and moons: Astronomers have discovered 20 new moons orbiting Saturn. This brings the ringed planet's total to 82 moons, surpassing Jupiter, with its 79 moons, as the planet with the most moons in the solar system.

The newly discovered Saturnian moons are only a few kilometers in size, and many of them appear to be remnants of once larger Saturnian satellites, as the researchers report.
