Announcement Askar FMA180 pro

To offer customers more options, Askar has launched the new FMA180 pro. The FMA180 pro is similar to the FMA180 in terms of optical design. The objective lens features an air-gapped sextuplet APO design and contains two pieces of ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) glass, providing excellent chromatic aberration correction. In addition to visual observations, the FMA180 pro is specifically optimized for astrophotography. Compared to the FMA180, the FMA180 pro adds a finder base and a 360° rotator. Furthermore, the focuser is designed with internal focusing, which promotes its stability and ensures its performance when used as a delicate, high-quality, and compact astrograph.

The FMA180pro uses a sextuplet air-gap APO design with three front and three rear lenses, two of which are made of ED (Ultra-Low Dispersion) glass, providing excellent chromatic aberration correction, providing the foundation for high-quality astrophotography and observation. It has a 40 mm aperture, an f/4.5 focal ratio, and a 180 mm focal length.

In addition to visual observation, the FMA180pro is specifically optimized for astrophotography. Compared to the FMA180, the FMA180pro adds a finder base and a 360° rotator. Furthermore, the focuser is designed with internal focusing, which promotes its stability and ensures its performance when used as a delicate, high-quality, and compact astrograph.

The FMA180pro comes with an M48 adapter at the rear, and the backfocus is the standard 55 mm. The multifunctional base can be used not only for astrophotography, but can also be mounted as a finderscope on the finder base of other telescopes after removing the Vixen dovetail plate.

In short, the FMA180 pro is a compact astrograph for astrophotography with more integrated features and a more specialized design.
