Celestron C14 on CGE Pro


The Celestron C14 - an ultimate look:

It includes a maximum opening and a compact design at the same time - in combination with the CGE Pro - it is a very nice combination for observatories in a small footprint. The detachable mount also allows easy transport of the C14CGEPro.
 
Celestron has been offering the Schmidt Cassegrain with 356mm opening for decades. The C14 is used in school observatories as well as in private observatories by dedicated amateur astronomers. Celestron has significantly developed the C14 optics over the years. Thus, the dreaded mirror shift, a shifting of the target object when focusing, has been reduced to a no longer disturbing minimum. Due to the XLT coating, the image of the C14 is even brighter. What remains is the excellent sharpness performance for which the C14 is known.


Advantages of the Celestron Schmidt Cassegrain system:

The catch mirror suspension of this C14 is especially prepared for the FASTAR upgrade kit. With the FASTAR or Hyperstar Kit, the secondary mirror is completely removed. You can then use a CCD camera or a DSLR camera to get directly into the F / 2 focus of the primary mirror. The C14 is already suitable for FastStar.

GoTo mount CGE Pro

CGE Pro - the strongest GoTo mount from Celestron with over 40,000 fixed objects stored in the database. The mount has been completely redeveloped and offers many advantages, especially for astrophotography.

Transportability ... The CGE Pro can be easily disassembled into smaller easy-to-transport parts and is therefore superior to the typical fork mount. Thus, the CGE Pro is well suited not only for observatories, but also for use on the road.
