Correct cable or SD card for updates? - !
Problem with the wrong cable or SD card
Sometimes the original cables used to connect the handheld/controller to the PC are lost, or aren't included with a used telescope accessory.
This seemingly simple problem doesn't seem to be a problem if you use a similar cable that just fits.
The tricky part is that it often seems to work. It's only when necessary software updates occur that problems suddenly arise, problems that at first glance don't seem to be due to a faulty cable.
The following or similar error messages in the controller or PC software may indicate incorrect cables:
"No telescope is connected"
"The model was not recognized"
"Incorrect model: Error 16/17"
"Boot error, invalid package"
"No connection active"
or: Nothing happens at all...
Possible solution:
If undefined problems occur during software updates, always first check whether the correct cable is connected between the controller/telescope and the PC.
SD cards of the wrong type, size, or file format can also cause problems.
It's best to check the manufacturer's websites and/or forums to find out which cable is correct.
