This award-winning device is the largest representative of a new line of apochromatic refractors from EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC. The completely redesigned optics was developed around the FPL-53 special glass, and provides excellent sharpness and contrast without color errors. The fast aperture ratio of f / 7 for such a large refractor predestines this Apo also for use in astrophotography. For this reason, the newly developed 3.0 "HEXAFOC focuser with 10: 1 fine adjustment was installed - the high stability and precision of the 3.0" HEXAFOC make focusing very easy, and unwanted movements of the sensor during the exposure time are reliably excluded.
