Experience and M13 recording with Askar FRA300
Hello Mr. Kloss,
After a long absence due to the bad weather, I was finally able to test the FRA300 Pro and would like to give you some feedback. Despite poor seeing of over 3" with tiny 2.4 μm pixels and a relatively short total exposure time of 2 hours (1 hour luminance, 20 minutes per color channel), I was able to capture M13 in the Hercules as a small test. Further projects are already in the works. The weather and the brief darkness don't allow for more at the moment, but I'll certainly add more later.
The telescope produces fantastic images and is mechanically a completely different beast than the small apo lenses I've previously worked with.
Thanks again for the great advice, recommendation, and the future enjoyment I will definitely have with this telescope. I am absolutely thrilled with the optical and mechanical quality.
