Experience and recording with Askar V 60mm and 80mm

Thank you again for the quick and very pleasant processing of my ASKAR V order.

It's an amazingly good instrument. You'd think that with this price-performance ratio combined with the versatility of having six different focal lengths in one instrument (for the first time, to my knowledge), some compromises in image quality would inevitably arise...

So I can't confirm that so far. Even though I've only tested two focal lengths (270mm and 600mm - and "only" APSC format).

Very impressive! The ASKAR V is a nice addition to my equipment - especially for portable use.

It will prove itself in the Southern Hemisphere in about four weeks... I'll report back 😉

Setup: ASI2600mm with 7x filter wheel and ASI filter set, 270mm approx. 4h exposure time, 600mm 2x 3.5h exposure time each (180sec single exposure each)
