All Newtonian telescopes should be adjusted before first use and then periodically for a clear image. We adjust all of our Newton before they leave our house.

GSO 254mm Imaging Newton

The 10 "TS Imaging Newton TSIMN10s is optimized for astrophotography and large field observation due to the fast aperture ratio of f / 4. The large sized secondary mirror with 88mm small axis and the 3.3" MONORAIL excerpt guarantee an optimal illumination of the field of vision during photography and also during observation (at low magnifications). When designing the TSIMN10, emphasis was placed on maximum stability and rigidity. The Newton is manufactured by GSO for Telescope Service, taking into account our high quality standards.

The advantages of the TS 10 "Imaging Newton at a glance:

- Fast and diffraction-limited optics with 10 "aperture and f / 4 for short exposure times
- Main mirror made of B270 "optical crown" glass - clearly superior to float glass
- 94% forced mirroring on main and secondary mirrors

Good illumination for 2 "eyepieces and astrophotography

The TSIMN10 is optimized for a very good illumination. The diameter of the front panel is generously dimensioned at 29cm so that the tube itself does not fade. Also the 88mm secondary mirror with built-in offset and especially the focuser with 76mm free passage guarantee a picture free of disturbing shading, even when using large format camera sensors.

The MONORAIL focuser is a further development of the Crayford excerpts. The main advantage is a higher rigidity because instead of small ball bearings that can yield, the storage is done via a sturdy stainless steel rail.

- better stiffness than typical Crayford extracts
- no susceptibility to tilting during clamping
- Adjustment of friction by knurled screw on the base
- Practical clamping with large knurled screw
- Brass ring clamp - 2 "clamping by two screws - no more tilting
