The GSO 12 "f / 4 Newton will be checked and adjusted by us before delivery The focuser will be discontinued.
All Newtonian telescopes should be adjusted before first use and then periodically for a clear image. We adjust all of our Newton before they leave our house.

TS Optics 12 "f / 4 Imaging Newton Telescope - for large field observation and astrophotography ... improved optics and mechanics - with 2 "MONORAIL extract for optimal illumination ... opening 303 mm / focal length 1212 mm
GSO 254mm Imaging Newton
The 12 "TS Imaging Newton TSIMN12s is optimized for astrophotography and large field observation due to the fast aperture ratio of f / 4. The large sized secondary mirror with 88 mm small axis and the MONORAIL excerpt guarantee an optimal illumination of the field of vision during photography and observation When designing the TSIMN12, the emphasis was placed on maximum stability and rigidity. The Newton is manufactured by GSO for Telescope Service, taking into account our high quality specifications.
The benefits of the TS 12 "Imaging Newton at a glance:
- Fast and diffraction-limited optics with 12 "aperture and f / 4 for short exposure times - Main mirror made of B270 "optical crown" glass - clearly superior to the float gas - 94% forced mirroring on main and secondary mirrors - stable MONORAIL extract (more stable than Crayford) for heavy CCD cameras - Built-in cooling of the main mirror for rapid cooling of the telescope - stable pipe clamps with flat support surface on both sides - hinged - with only 120 cm tube length, the TSIMN is still very compact and portable - comfortable focus position - also allows the use of DSLR cameras & off-axis guiders
Good illumination for 2 "eyepieces and astrophotography
The TSIMN12 is optimized for a very good illumination. The diameter of the front panel is generously dimensioned, so that the tube itself does not shadow. The 88 mm secondary mirror also guarantees a picture free of disturbing shading, even when using large-format camera sensors.
The 2 "MONORAIL extract of the TSIMN12s
TS MONORAIL focuser
The MONORAIL focuser is a further development of the Crayford excerpts. The main advantage is a higher rigidity because instead of small ball bearings that can yield, the storage is done via a sturdy stainless steel rail.
- better stiffness than typical Crayford extracts - no susceptibility to tilting during clamping - Adjustment of friction by knurled screw on the base - Practical clamping with large knurled screw - Brass ring clamp - 2 "clamping by two screws - no more tilting - Practical 1:10 reduction for astrophotography
