Great Prominence on June 8, 2013
Conversion: Bresser 100/1000 refractor, which was sawed off to adapt a PST system. The focus path of the refractor must be adjusted by the factor of the PST box. The recording device was the Bresser Deep Sky Full HD camera.
For image processing, I used Photoshop CS 2 (freeware, about 20 years old) to adjust the histogram and very slightly the sharpness, as well as a slight color adjustment for the prominence, including in relation to the sun's surface (selective color correction). Here, I adjusted the color correction and saturation to enhance the visibility of the prominence's structures. Since I had achieved optimal focus, there was virtually nothing to do in terms of sharpness. The focus can be judged, among other things, by the ability to recognize the spicules on the edge of the sun.
The result is based on ONE exposure, no separate exposures for the surface and prominence.
