Here we're cleaning a SkyWatcher 150mm 750mm f/5 refractor.

After unscrewing the lens cell, the inside of the tube is cleaned of dust using purified compressed air.

The threads of the tube and lens cell are cleaned with a cloth and lightly greased.

Dust on the lenses is removed with a blower.

Then, using Baader Optical Wonder cleaning fluid and a microfiber cloth, clean gently. Be sure to wear gloves to avoid grease stains from your fingers.

There are spacers between the lenses of this telescope that must be replaced. These must be replaced if necessary.

The lens cell is also cleaned with compressed air.

The sealing rings must be handled with care and replaced if necessary or softened with a special grease.

The ring that holds the lenses together must be tightened carefully so that the lenses are not pressed too hard. Otherwise, aberrations will occur.
