The LS80THa / B1800CPT is a complete telescope for observing the sun in H-alpha light, a precise ED refractor with 80mm free opening (no central obstruction) and 560mm focal length. An internal etalon filter achieves a half-value width of <0.7 Angstrom with the innovative air pressure tuning system "Pressure Tuner". With this "pressure tuner", the etalon can be set much more precisely than with conventional systems. The "Pressure Tuner" system compensates for variations in altitude and air pressure and always ensures optimum performance. The etalon is safely installed inside the telescope.
The focusing is done by a 2 "Crayford-excerpt with 1:10 reduction.

Blocking Filter is the B1800. The B1800 is well suited for visual sun observation as well as photography of the sun.
The zenith mirror, which incorporates the blocking filter, comes standard with both a 1.25 "eyepiece mount and a T2 camera port.

The telescope can optionally be retrofitted with the additionally available DSII Double-Stack System (article number 0551390). The DSII system is an internal double-stack module with "Pressure Tuner", which achieves a half width of <0.5 Angstrom. This will make more details visible on the sun's surface.
