Tonight it happened again: I hadn't thought it through enough.
Before starting my observations, I had placed the telescope outside and let it cool down; shortly before observing or taking photographs, I placed the camera on the front of the RASA.
Experts and connoisseurs will now cry out: "Attaching a warm camera with a thread to the cooled thread of the RASA and tightening it? That won't work!"
Yup... the thread was really tight during disassembly. No wonder, I had created a wonderful press fit.
Before you get out your water pump pliers in such a case: there's another way.
Simply place the affected threaded parts in the freezer, the material will then contract, and then use a leather belt to grip the thread and turn it free. It's really easy...
