Meade Telescope N 130/650 Polaris EQ

Item Description:

The optics N 130/650:

With this telescope you can get started with astronomy. With 30% more light gathering capacity compared to a 114mm telescope, the freshly baked astronomer already has some fascinating celestial objects to observe. With a 130mm aperture and 650mm focal length, you get a powerful optic that makes a lot of fog visible in the deep sky area. Thanks to the aperture ratio of f / 5, the telescope is also suitable for wide field observations. Open star clusters usually represent very aesthetic goals. Due to the short overall length, the telescope is very stable even on smaller mounts, which means that it has very short swing-out times. From a purely external point of view, the look is a real gem: it impresses with an elegant design of the extra class.

The advantages at a glance:

344 times light collecting capacity
Low vibration and wind-insensitive due to compact design
Easily portable and quickly set up

The Polaris telescopes from Meade offer small to medium optics with lots of accessories on a parallactic mount at a very good price.

With this type of mount, an axis is aligned with the north star (Polaris). This polar alignment means that the telescope only has to be rotated continuously around an axis to compensate for the sky rotation. This is not only convenient, it also makes orientation easier with the help of a star map.

The tracking is done by hand using a handy rotary knob that is connected to a flexible shaft. A motor is also available as an option.

Each Polaris telescope is supplied with a tubular steel tripod for better stability.
