The StarPro ™ AZ from Meade is a user-friendly, portable telescope for the mobile astronomer. Every StarPro ™ AZ telescope has a fully coated optic that provides bright, clear images of the moon, planets and star clusters! With the StarPro ™ AZ refractors you can also observe nature or look at the landscape.

The StarPro ™ AZ has a newly developed, one-armed, azimuthal mount with shafts for fine movement on both axes. This makes the application child's play. The mount has a standardized clamp, with which most other telescopes can be connected - even optics from other manufacturers!

The light but stable tripod made of aluminum has a practical accessory tray.

The smartphone adapter is a special accessory in the scope of delivery. With the smartphone you can take impressive pictures of the moon. If you familiarize yourself a little with the topic of smartphone astrophotography, you can even absorb the planets Jupiter and Saturn very well!

With a compact and lightweight design at an affordable price, the StarPro ™ AZ will surely exceed expectations. Everything you need to watch the night sky right out of the box is included.

The optics AC 70/700: With an aperture of 70mm, this refractor already collects 100 times as much light as the naked eye and therefore also a lot more light than classic entry-level telescopes with a slightly smaller aperture of 60mm. Thus, it also has a higher resolution and shows you with a maximum magnification of 140x first details while observing the large planets Saturn, Jupiter and Mars. The moon is also a very worthwhile object: You can beautifully observe the crater landscape of the moon, which always appears in a different light depending on the phase. Interesting nature observations in daylight are also possible with a reversing lens or with an Amici prism. Focusing takes place by means of a setting wheel on the focuser that drives it via a rack. In this way, the sharpness can always be precisely adjusted and remains reliably fixed during the observation.

The optics are also ideal as a guide scope, which can be placed on a larger telescope and used for photography or tracking control.
