The Omegon Triplet Apochromat offers you an excellent ED optics with three lenses and a precise Crayford mechanism. This telescope is a bead for any amateur astray, which places emphasis on a good picture. You pay for this Premium Dreilinser usually not more than for a normal Doublet ED refractor.

Compared to the two-lens ED optics, the color space has once again been significantly reduced and can only be detected in the measurable range. The fully-coated optics provide a brilliant visual display and a fantastic contrast, which is only used by much more expensive apochromats.



Precise focus: 2 "Crayford Extractor with 1:10 fine-action gearbox
Only an exact sharpness leads to the successful observation! For this reason, the Crayford Extractor can be moved extremely smoothly. With the 1:10 setting, you can easily find the right focus even at high magnifications.

Advantage for Astrofotographers: If you have focused your object, you can fix the extension by means of a lock screw.

Our expert comment:
With this three-lined Apochromaten, a telescope was brought onto the market, which until recently could only be obtained at a much higher price. In early tests it was easy to see how the three-lined system is superior to the two-lined EDs.

For example, a Canon EOS 400D has been used to capture images that clearly show how good the optics are: the image field curvature on the 18x23mm sensor is hardly significant. For full-format cameras with a 24x36mm chip, however, you should consider using a flattner.

Photographically, the Omegon 127er ED impresses with its relatively short focal length and the - for refractors - fast aperture ratio of f: 7.5, whereby the sharpness and contrast are far superior to any mirror system. This also shows the structure reproduction of the galaxies in the image 'Leo triplet' and the sharpness and the contrast in the moon photo.

The Omegon 127er ED was also visually convincing; Saturn and the Moon at over 300-fold magnification. The picture, contrast and possible color fringing were taken into account. The optics showed excellent sharpness and a contrast, as only a refractor can offer. Even with the relatively high magnification, no color space could be seen at the planet's edge as well as at the planetary rings or on a moon crater.

With the Omegon 127er ED is now a device available, that many beginners as well as already ambitious hobby astronomers are a lot of fun and the price / performance ratio will hardly be beat.
