Omegon Apochromatic refractor AP 150/1000 ED Triplet Carbon

The Omegon ED-Aporefraktor stands for outstanding optics, well thought-out design and high-quality mechanics. This very special telescope offers astrophotographers, visual observers or nature lovers a unique experience of starry sky and nature. Needle-sharp stars as far as the peripheral regions of the facial field are just as obvious as excellent mechanical precision.

The Triplet Apochromat

The lens of the Omegon ED Triplet Apochromaten is made from a combination of three lenses. This is where the excellent OHARA FPL-53 glass material is used, which means that the refractor achieves outstanding correction. In addition, the lens combination offers a very high contrast as well as a flat image field. In visual observation and in astrophotography, you will discover a great deal of detail and a very clear picture reproduction. Observe the lunar edge or bright stars at high or low magnification: you will notice that no color fringing occurs. Compared to mirror systems, the image definition of the apos is much better, because they occur without obstruction and the resulting deteriorated intensity distribution in the diffraction plate. The refractor is an unbeatable instrument, especially with low contrast differences.

Many amateur astronomers want an easy-to-adjust refractor. This was, of course, thought: the lens mount is adjustable by means of pull and pressure screws.

The carbontube

This apochromate is well suited for visual observation, but it has been developed especially for astro-photographic purposes. Use the advantages of the Carbontube: it is particularly light and therefore also suitable for smaller mountings. The tube also offers very high stability and minimal temperature expansion. These benefits are particularly useful to you as an astrophotographer: the focus remains stable, even the whole night. The dew cap is also made of carbon and easy to pull out. In addition, it is lined with black felt.

The eyepiece output

The telescope is equipped with an eyepiece extension in the Crayford style. It belongs to a new generation of excerpts, which are patented. Absolute precision and enormous carrying power are the main advantages of this eyepiece extractor. It even carries accessories up to 10kg weight, this is achieved by activating an additional lock screw. Even if the force is strong, the move will not move a millimeter. Once you have found the focus, it will not change, even if you change the position of the telescope in the sky.

A 1:11 setting is for you as a fine focusing aid for focusing, so an even more exact setting is possible than with most telescopes. Do you use astro-photography with full-format chips or do you have it in the future? Even with full-format cameras, the objects are recorded vignetting-free. The complete eyepiece extension is rotatable: loosen the screw for locking and a 360 ° rotation is possible.

But that was not the case. Also the end of the extension (near the connector) is completely rotatable: With the first rotation, you find the most comfortable position for relaxed focusing of the eyepiece extension - with the second rotation, you select the optimal camera orientation relative to the object.

Carrying case included

The included aluminum case is an ideal place to store the valuable look. Ultrastable, with carrying handles and metal fittings, he can withstand many shocks without problems. Inside are exactly cut foam shapes, which hold the tube exactly as they have used it.
