The Orion SkyQuest XT10 combines the advantages of a compact classic Dobson telescope with modern computer technology. Do you want to observe the whirlpool galaxy? Simply call M51 in the computer and they are simply directed to the galaxy. Move the Dobson just the way you see the computer and when you're on target, just look through the eyepiece and admire this magnificent galaxy. Simple and easy - enjoy the astronomy and focus on the essentials - on observing.

The high-quality main mirror shows galaxies, star clusters or fog bright and contrasting. The clean interior blackout of the tube prevents stray light and reflexes. Moon crater and planets are displayed with high sharpness. The diffraction-limited main mirror allows the recognition of the finest details on these objects. 10 "opening is the ideal compromise between performance in the sky and transportability for many star friends.The unit still has space on the back seat of a normal car, starting at 10", many galaxies and planetary nebulae show first structures.

The sensitive adjustment is important for every Dobson. In height, you have a well-adjustable friction control that allows you to change heavy eyepieces without lowering or raising the telescope. The horizontal adjustment is particularly light and yet uniform thanks to the combination of Teflon and your hard rough surface.

It's so easy to work with your computer:



- Just plug the computer into the socket and it's already calibrated, you do not need to make any extra settings.

- Just find an object from the database, press Enter and the computer will guide you to the object using simple arrows. One arrow is for the height and another for the horizontal adjustment.

- Now you see clearly that they have arrived, look through the telescope (with a weak magnification) and you will see the target object already.



The picture shows the simple and clear operation. The buttons are illuminated and the display is very clear. On the right hand side of the display you will see the arrow keys that lead you to the object and also show you the distance.

Object Database

The object database comprises over 14,000 objects:
- 837 stars including double stars and variable stars
- 8 planets
- 101 Messier objects
- 7840 NGC objects
- 5386 IC objects
- 99 objects you can define yourself

This product was one of the "Hot Products of Sky and Telescope 2004". It allows you to achieve real observation success in the shortest possible time. Concentrate on the essentials, on the observation of thousands of objects beyond the solar system.

Normally, long-term and continuous observations are required to give you access to many low-light objects at all. The Astro Computer enables you to achieve this success in a short time.


The advantages and differences of the IntelliScopes with the conventional GoTo:

Unlike GoTo devices, you move the Dobson by hand. There are no motors that move the device, but the computer shows you in which direction you need to move the device and how far away you are from the target .... a kind of heavenly navigation system.

- You do not need a strong power supply - simple small batteries for the computer
- The operation is silent - no loud engines frighten the neighbors from sleep
- The device is significantly transportable than a heavy GoTo mount
- The device is, of course, considerably less expensive than a comparable device with GoTo
