Product Description
Our new prototype of a double telescope (binocular) with 2 Newtons. A double Newton.
Usually, two refractors are screwed together to form a binocular.
We also offer a binocular with two Maksutovs, a double Maksutov.

For this Newtonian binocular, we used two 6" 150mm f/5 Newtonians. Our new prototype of a double telescope (binocular) with two Newtonians. A double Newtonian. These are mounted together using our clamp system and can thus be very precisely adjusted in parallel. For the 6" Newtonian, 1.25" diagonals are sufficient. For the 8" 200mm Newtonian binocular, 2" diagonals are required to ensure sufficiently close eye relief.

Advantages:

More relaxed observing,
because you don't have to constantly squint one eye.
More details,
because you can look with both eyes.
Greater depth perception,
Bilateral viewing simulates/stimulates the "3D" effect - because our brain is used to it. Stargazers who use binoculars themselves are already familiar with this effect.
More stable images,
because they are less susceptible to seeing "fluctuations."

Disadvantages:

Well, the larger a single object, the better. Newtonian telescope,
the less light and handy two of them become. ;-)
