The new Astro-Professional Ultra wide-angle eyepieces provide the observer with an unforgettable viewing experience. Through the large 82° field of view you have the feeling that the celestial objects would float right in front of you. A lens edge is barely noticeable and blurs almost with the starry sky. Universally usable with 4 available focal lengths, these eyepieces are perfectly suited from deep sky to planetary observation. Also, they can be used for almost every telescope. Short focal length and fast optics are no problem here. Compared to the 70° eyepieces, you have a gain of over 17% in the field of view. The viewing behavior is significantly increased compared to 70° eyepieces. In addition to the expanded field of view, these eyepieces offer outstanding optical quality. The picture is extremely sharp throughout the field of vision. Depending on the eyepiece, the elaborately manufactured lens system consists of 6-7 elements of 4 groups each. A broadband multi-compensation of all lenses ensures a high transmission. Blackened lens edges and a specially designed aperture system provide anti-reflection protection for high contrast performance. The eyecups can be individually adjusted by unscrewing and can thus be adapted to each viewer individually. Also perfect for eyeglass wearers. An eyepiece of the highest class!

Information:

For observation with a telescope different eyepieces are required. For lunar, deep sky / galaxy observations a rather small magnification is needed. For planetary observations, however, a high magnification is required:

30-50x magnification as an overview eyepiece and for lunar observations,
70-100 times for lunar, galaxy and fog observations,
140-200 times for planetary observations.

Our recommendation: Never exceed the telescope magnification by more than 2 times the lens diameter.

An example: If a telescope has a 90mm lens, you should not exceed a 180x magnification.

The magnification is calculated as follows: Telescope focal length in mm / eyepiece in mm
An example: Telescope with 1000mm focal length / eyepiece with 10mm = 100x magnification in the telescope
