Products description

Test und Justage Skywatcher QUATTRO 250/1000 OTA Newton Karbontubus

This telescope is no longer manufactured.

The SkywatcherQuattro 10CF Photo Newton is checked and adjusted by us before delivery. The focuser is set.

All Newtonian telescopes should be adjusted before first use and then periodically for a clear image. We adjust all of our Newton before they leave our house.

How we adjust: About us

These telescopes are shipped free of charge in Germany.

Skywatcher QUATTRO-10CF 250mm 1000mm 10 '' f / 4 Photo Newton Carbon Tube

There are not only alternators in the car! :-)
And this is a really effective one!

A telescope with 250mm aperture and 1000mm focal length for photography optimized reflector telescope. The tube is made of carbon (and not metal), this is not only robust, but you also save a whopping 3kg in weight.
The aperture ratio allows short exposure times for deep sky objects. The so-called "seeing" - ie the visibility conditions - beat at 10 inches slightly more than with smaller openings to book. But you have a better resolution and therefore more details in the picture. This "seeing" can be compensated by the modern recording devices, which offer short exposure times and high sensitivity of the CCD chips. In our circumstances so good photos and also observation results are possible or given.
For school astronomy, this device is recommended for use by Astrofoto AG.

There are not only alternators in the car! :-)
Newton telescopes are considered (and are) basically high-powered telescopes. From f / 5 I define again as particularly bright. When observing the moon, we definitely recommend a filter to reduce the glare effect. - The moon reflects so much light that the light should be attenuated (especially at low magnification). Also note the dark adaptation of the eye. For example, if I want to observe deep sky objects after the moon, the adaptation of the eye takes a certain amount of time before I can perceive the much fainter ones again in detail.
And that brings us to the objects that such a Newton can show in abundance - visually and photographically!
Deep sky objects (ie galaxies, nebulae, star clusters ...) do not require a high magnification, but a corresponding light gathering power. For photography, this also means the shortest possible exposure time for a shot.
Planets (and moon) require a higher magnification and thus a Barlow lens ???? for focal length extension.
So with this device also beautiful details on the moon and planets can be seen! So you do not have to do without this field of application:
An (almost) all-rounder among the telescopes focusing on deep sky.

With a diameter of 25.4cm (10 "), the light gathering power is approximately 1275 times that of the eye Light faint galaxies and nebulae are considered for your observations! High magnifications and detailed images of the moon and planets are possible due to the good optics Observe structures at the moon and interesting details on planets, such as the rings of Saturn, cloud bands at Jupiter.

Please take our purchase advice! Your wishes are important to us!

A further advantage of this telescope is the 2 "linear power pullout .This pullout separates the bearing from the adjustment, which also makes heavy loading possible, compared to the Crayford pullout.Four precision ball bearings stabilize the inner tube, while the adjustment is stabilized by a stainless steel rod The weight of a full-format SLR is no problem!

This makes detailed images of planets and deep-sky objects really fun.

Skywatcher QUATTRO 250/1000 OTA Newton Carbontubus

Product advantages:

+ For lunar, planetary and deep-sky observations (at low magnifications)
+ Through 250mm opening at the aperture ratio f / 4 very high light output power
+ Sturdy 2 '' extension for heavier loading
+ Newton telescope optimized for astrophotography

Please note:

- Without mount and tripod
- We recommend further accessories, such as detail eyepieces, Barlow lens, filters,
so that you can fully exploit the performance of the telescope.
