The pole height can be adjusted with the swivel head / ball head of your stand. More precise and easier for photography with telephoto lenses is the optional pole height cradle. The illuminated pole finder, which is included in our delivery and does NOT need to be purchased separately, is the ideal aid for precise alignment, so that even with prolonged exposure, the stars remain punctiform.
The SA is so compact that it fits in any backpack or camera bag. This makes him an ideal companion for every trip - even to the most remote regions.

The Star Adventurer offers many easy-to-use options for both astro and time-lapse photography. The mount is a compact and high-precision tracking platform for cameras with standard and smaller telephoto lenses. The DSLR shutter can be controlled directly.

To attach a camera to the Star Adventurer requires a ball head or the optional dovetail L-mount. At this a counterweight can be fixed with rod (optional and recommended for shooting with a telephoto lens). Due to the counterweight and the associated rod, the equipment gets a much better stability and accuracy in tracking with heavier accessories.


Special feature of the power supply:

When connected to USB, the SA does NOT draw power from its battery! An electronic control over this regulates this automatically. This increases the running time enormously.
Our recommendation: Use batteries with the SA for internal power supply.
