Check adjustment Newton Mirrorball primary mirror focuser Please contact for advice on this telescope. So you can benefit from our experience before buying
The Skywatcher Star Discovery 150P is checked and adjusted by us before delivery. The focuser is set.
All Newtonian telescopes should be adjusted before first use and then periodically for a clear image. We adjust all of our Newton before they leave our house.
Although this Newton has no direct adjustment screws for the main mirror, the main mirror is adjusted by the retaining screws on the tube of us.

Skywatcher Star Discovery 150P 150mm 750mm F / 5 GoTo Newton Reflector Telescope
The Skywatcher Star Discovery 150P has 150 mm aperture for a bright image and parabolic optics for very good sharpness, plus a sturdy GoTo mount with computer-controlled tracking.
This Newton telescope is universally applicable and suitable for lunar and planetary observations (here we recommend a Barlow lens for higher magnifications). Likewise, it is bright enough to go on a successful expedition on deep sky objects, such as galaxies (M31, Andromeda Nebula, or M81 in the Big Bear), the Orion Nebula, or the globular cluster M13.
Not only excellently suited as a beginner telescope, it is portable and easy to operate due to the computer control in the hand box. A good all-rounder at home or when traveling, quickly set up outdoors when there is no stationary option. The handling is very easy. Sit down, calibrate on two stars (computer-aided) and the sky is already open. The numerous objects stored in the hand box can now be located and precisely tracked at the touch of a button.
♦ Very good picture and wide field of view
♦ Automatic search and tracking
♦ Over 42000 objects in the database
Applications:
♦ Telescope for beginners: very good ♦ Observation of the moon and planets: very good ♦ Observation of nebulae, star clusters and galaxies: very good ♦ Astrophotography: Moon and planet photography: very good / Nebulae and galaxies: not suitable
The computer-controlled GoTo system SynScan (azimuthal) is particularly easy to use. You do not have to be complicated. After being aligned to two stars by the computer, you have over 42,900 objects in the database. These can all be approached and the precise tracking by powerful motors keeps your object in the center of the eyepiece. Beginners can now experience beautiful observations and marvel at the wonders of the universe. You do not see all 42900 objects because some require a larger telescope, but the list will not give you what you still want to and can observe.
Manual adjustment of the mount without loss of calibration:
The Sky-Watcher Star Discovery mount has been redeveloped and offers something special: the FreedomFind encoder technology. You can also adjust the telescope manually after the "two star calibration" and do not lose the calibration. Unlike other mounts, you do not have to repeat the procedure. Integrated encoders recognize the new positioning "by hand" and process it precisely.
Our good price makes it interesting (not only) for school astronomy!
