Solution for minor problems with Star Adventurer (SA)
Problem:
There are a few minor issues with the SA, such as tracking inaccuracies.
These are easy to identify and fix. For example, the grub screw that presses the worm gear against the worm gear may not be tightened enough. In this case, you need to slightly tighten this screw with an M3 (3.0 mm) Allen screwdriver while turning the axis and deciding by feel when the axis can still be turned easily without jamming. If you purchased the SA from us, you don't have to worry about this, as we check and adjust it before shipping.
Solution:

In the photos, you can see the screw and where it presses against the worm gear.
In the photo on the right, you can see the gears.
These are also screwed onto the axle with grub screws.
It's possible that the gear will come loose if the screw becomes loose.
However, this has only happened once in recent years.
Tip: It's generally important that all screws on the polar height scale are tightened.
The plastic washers can also be removed to increase rigidity.
