The TS 130mm F / 860mm Super APO Refractor provides an imaging performance at LZOS level. We compared the lenses on the optical bench and could not determine any difference in quality. Even with extreme contrasts, no disturbing color defects will be visible. Astrophotographers can look forward to cleanly defined stars, without blue fringe. To maintain the high quality, every TS 130mm f / 6.6 APO refractor on the optical bench is tested and adjusted beforehand. You will receive a complete star test for each APO.

Also the mechanics of the TS 130mm Apos is world class. The CNC-machined tube has three focus positions, so that every conceivable accessory can be connected. As an eyepiece extract, the excellent 3 "TS tooth extraction is installed, which is superior to any Crayford extract we know. The extract is similar to the Starlight Feather Touch.

The APO is suitable for astrophotography and for observation. The moderate aperture ratio of f / 6.62 results in a high light intensity for astrophotography, which can be increased to f / 4.97 by the well-known Riccardi Reducer. Every corrector from our range is easy to use. Due to the moderate opening ratio, high enlargements can also be achieved without problems, without color errors. Even at more than 300X the sharpness setting is no problem.

The CNC tube with three possible backfocus positions:

The CNC-machined metal tube takes every customer's request into consideration. The retractable dew cap can be fixed with a knurled screw. The tube is provided with internal shading and blackened brilliantly. No reflections are possible. However, two unscrewable segments are special. This allows three focus positions. The collimation remains of course. The advantage is an optimal position of the eyepiece extension without shading and without unnecessary extension rings on the pull-out side.

- Shortest position (without extension rings): Suitable for the large Riccardi Reducer with M82 screw thread and for binocular use without glass path compensation - even with a 2 "zenith mirror you can easily reach the sharpness level.

- Middle position (an extension ring): Suitable for the TS 2.5 "full-format corrector without changing the focal range

- Longest position (two extension rings): Suitable for visual observation with 2 "zenith mirrors and for photographing the moon and planets with eyepiece projection or Barlow lenses.


The photographic application - a telescope ... two focal lengths for photography:

Focal length 645mm / aperture ratio f / 4.97 with RICCARDI Reducer ... The flexible focus position thanks to the modular tube allows the use of the excellent 0.75x Riccardi Reducer. The focal length is reduced to 645mm and the light intensity is increased to f / 4.9. Sensors up to 42mm diameter are fully illuminated.

The reducer is screwed to the M82 thread of the eyepiece extension. You need the adapter TSM78-M82 for this purpose. Both tube segments are unscrewed. From the M82x1 internal thread on the camera side to the camera sensor, the optimum distance is 77.4mm.


Focal length 860mm / aperture ratio f / 6.6 with 2.5 "full-color flattener ... With the TS 2,5" full-format Flattener you achieve a 100% illumination even with full-format sensors.

To adapt the TSFlat2,5 to the pull-out, no adapters are needed, the Flattener fits directly to the pull-out. A tube segment is unscrewed. From the M69 female thread on the camera side to the camera sensor, the optimum distance is 88mm.
