TS Optics 10 "254mm f / 8 Ritchey Chrétien RC Telescope Carbon Truss Tube

The TS 10-inch f / 8 Ritchey Chrétien Astrograph with the Truss tube is a dream telescope for astrophotography. The telescope is still portable and also allows the use of CCD cameras with large sensors.

The TS Optics 10 "f / 8 Ritchey Chrétien Astrograph is not only a beautiful telescope, it also offers professional performance.

The carbon tube tube is extremely stiff and adjustable. It is optimal for astrophotography. There is no focus drift with temperature change.

♦ opening 10 "/ 254 mm
♦ focal length 2000 mm
♦ aperture ratio f / 8
♦ Carbon truss tube with two losmandy-level prism rails
♦ 99% reflection on main and secondary levels
♦ Large corrected flat field without additional corrector
♦ 3 "MONORAIL focuser with reduction to 2" and 1.25 "

How do I reach the focus:

The 10 "RC has a generous back focus that allows the use of extensive accessories, with the 117mm Extension Sleeves (GSRCV1172 and GSRCV1175) focus on all the accessories and the drawer is always in an optimal position.

Carbontube with stainless steel and aluminum connections:

The tube combines the advantages of a carbon tube, in terms of temperature stability, with the rigidity of a full tube. Refocusing when changing the temperature is not necessary.

The 3 "M-LRN Monorail Extract:

The new 3 "pullout is a significant advancement over the old Crayford pullout. The monorail is mounted on a massive central stainless steel rail, which is superior to the small and relatively soft ball bearings of the Crayford pullout. while the massive guide rail of the monorail remains stiff.

♦ better stiffness than typical Crayford extracts
♦ no susceptibility to tilting during clamping
♦ Adjustment of friction by knurled screw on the base
♦ Practical clamping with large knurled screw
♦ Brass ring clamp - 2 "clamping by two screws - no more tilting
♦ Practical 1/10 reduction for astrophotography

Main mirror ventilation for quick cooling
Quartz mirrors have no problems with focus drift, but they still have to be adapted to the temperature, otherwise they give off heat and create the tube-seeing. Three fans on the back of the mirror speed up this process.

TS Ritchey Chrétien (RC) Telescopes provide excellent on-axis and field imaging without the need for additional correctors. That is why RC telescopes are used primarily for astrophotography. Until recently, RCs have been among the most expensive telescopes. Telescope Service and GSO have changed this situation. We are pleased to offer you a complete line of RC astrographs at affordable prices. Teleskop-Service has taken over the Europe-wide distribution of these telescopes.

Advantages of the TS RC telescopes:

♦ Real RC optics with hyperbolic main and secondary mirrors
♦ Main mirror and secondary mirror are made of quartz ?? no temperature-related focus drift
♦ The secondary mirror has a central marking for accurate collimation of the system
♦ 99% reflective coating with dielectric coating on main and secondary mirrors for a bright image
♦ Large, level and comfree field without corrector ?? ideal for astrophotography
♦ Enough back focus for focal length reduction, Bino approaches ??
♦ Significantly less dew problems than telescopes with front plate (Schmidt-Cassegrains ??)
♦ Fast cooling down because the telescope is open at the front ?? like a Newtonian telescope
♦ Each RC is checked and tested on our optical bench

Main mirror and secondary mirror made of quartz with 99% mirroring and dielectric quartz protective layer:
Quartz does not change its properties when temperature is different. If the temperature drops slowly during recording, other mirror materials, such as Pyrex, will deform the mirror and shift the focus. For quartz mirrors, this problem does not exist. The focus is thus kept better, which is very important for long exposures. Both mirrors are mirrored with 99%. The image is visibly brighter than with telescopes with only 90% or 94% mirroring.

The Benefits of TS RC Telescopes for Astrophotography:

The TS RC astrographs are true Ritchey-Chrétien telescopes. Maksutovs and Schmidt-Cassegrains have spherical mirrors and need proofreaders to harness a large field. At Schmidt-Cassegrains you can even see the mistakes in the field in visual use. Maksutov-Cassegrains are usually so faint that they are out of the question for astrophotography. RC telescopes have hyperbolic main and secondary mirrors. These mirrors are more difficult to produce but offer much better field sharpness and far fewer errors in the field.

Why is an RC telescope superior to a Schmidt-Cassegrain with proofreaders?
Celestron EHD or Meade ACF telescopes need a corrector. In addition, these telescopes have a tauanfällige Schmidt plate on the front. The RC system is a pure reflection system, which manages without lenses in the beam path. So you can use the full light in the infrared range. The picture is brighter and the exposure times are getting shorter. The field of view of an RC telescope is inherently relatively flat and coma-free.

No shifting problem with TS RC telescopes:

Focused focus telescopes often suffer from the "shifting" problem. The picture shifts when focusing or it even jumps. Meade and Celestron have the problem now under control, but noticeable is the effect anyway. TS RC telescopes do not have this problem because the primary mirror is fixed. The focusing takes place via a high-quality excerpt. An additional advantage is the optimal distance main catching mirror. This gives you the guarantee of the best possible picture. When the main mirror shifts to the secondary mirror, you almost never have the optimum distance.

Why are TS Ritchey-Chrétien telescopes so cheap compared to other brands:
Until recently, RC telescopes were known for their high price and were considered high-end telescopes ?? for observatories and amateur astronomers. Telescope Service, Astro-Tech and GSO (Guan Sheng Optics) have recognized and solved this problem. GSO is known for high quality Newton optics at reasonable prices. We have invested years in the development of inexpensive RC telescopes, not only the optics, but also the mechanics has presented us with challenges. The result, however, are telescopes, which need not shy away from the comparison to much more expensive alternatives.
