For a long time, the astro community has been waiting for an affordable APO astrograph for mobile use, even with larger camera sensors. The TS 86SDQ has been developed for deep-sky and wide-field astrophotography with all standard Astro cameras. The very good correction allows the use of very high-resolution cameras with small pixels, as well as the use of cameras with very large sensors, larger than full-size.

The telescope is still very compact with about 4kg weight and is well carried by small mounts. The TS 86SDQ is also well suited for air travel. So you have a high quality and uncomplicated optics and perfect starry sky combined for outstanding astrophotos.

Although the Apo is optimized for astrophotography, it can also be used for the observation with 2 "zenith mirrors due to the generous back focus.The very good color correction allows enlargements up to about 200 times without disturbing color aberrations.

Connecting the camera to the 86SDQ:

The APO has a working distance of 120mm from the 2 "socket.The pull-out tube itself offers an adjustment range of 40mm.We recommend the following adaptations, the articles are linked in the accessories section.

♦ Connecting a DSLR via the 2 "socket: With the focal adapter TSFA240 and a normal T2 ring you can connect all DSLR cameras with the matching T2 ring and can also focus.

♦ Connection of DSLR and astro cameras with sensors up to 30mm diameter via the M82 thread:
With the adapter FTSM82-M48 and the M48 reversing ring M48a-M48a you get an M48 connection with a working distance of 130mm. With 2x M48 extension sleeves TSVF230 you reduce this to 70mm and can thus again wonderful focus on a SLR camera. System cameras or Astro cameras require an additional extension, if not included.

♦ Connection of DSLR and astro cameras with large sensors from 30mm diameter on the M82 thread:
With the adapter M82i-M68a you get the Zeiss-Level thread connection with M68x1 outside thread at a working distance of 130mm. You can connect your camera via the TS-Optics and Baader M68x1 adapter system.
