The 3-lined 80mm FPL53 Apo was further developed by TS. He uses the tried and tested lens and the first-rate CNC eyepiece extractor from APM with improved tube for an even more optimal focus position. The result is a travel apo with a color-pure image with optimal spherical correction. The apo provides better illumination than almost any other refractor of this aperture. You can achieve a field of view up to 5.5 ° or up to about 200 times high magnification without breaking into sharpness.

The lens of the TS 80/500 Triplet Apo:

The triplet lens offers a color-pure image, it fulfills the criteria of a vollapos. You can see diagrams at the end of the presentation. The lens also offers the best possible spherical correction and does not follow the Russian lenses. The Apo element comes from O-Hara (Japan). The multi-compensated triplet lens is in an adjustable mount and is of course with air gap.

The 2.5 "CNC eyepiece extractor of the TS 80/500 Triplet Apo:

The 2.5 "eyepiece provides a higher stability and accuracy, like most Crayford eyepieces that we know, and is adjusted by a 1 / 10th gear drive rod No tilting can come.

The modular CNC tube provides an optimal focus for all applications. Three focus positions are possible. For any application, the eyepiece output is in the optimum position without tilting problems.

- Medium position ... Suitable for 2.5 "TS Flattener for full-size sensors

The photographic use - a telescope ... two focal lengths for photography!

Focal length 350mm / aperture ratio F4.5 ... The flexible focus position thanks to the modular tube allows the use of the excellent 0.75x Riccardi Reducer. The focal length is reduced to 375mm and the light intensity is increased to F4.5. Sensors up to 42mm diameter are fully illuminated.

Focal length 500mm / aperture ratio F6 ... With the TS 2,5 "full-format Flattener, you achieve a 100% illumination even with full-format sensors. The cheaper TS 2" Flattener is very suitable for sensors up to 30mm diameter.

The quality of the picture:

The two diagrams show the excellent image of the apos on the axis and also with correctors in the field. We do not know any lens with this aperture in this class with a better picture.
