Vixen AX103S Apo 103 / 825mm - 4-element refractor with field flattening

The Vixen # 5867 Apochromat has been developed for astrophotography. It offers a flat image field with optimal correction even for full format.

Vixen 4-element Apo AX103S with built-in field leveling
The Vixen AX103S, F / 8.0 Apo refractor has a three-element lens with a central ED lens. This arrangement reduces the color error to a minimum that is no longer annoying and enables high-contrast observations even at the highest magnification range.

In addition, a field-flattening lens specially designed for this lens is permanently installed in the tube, which enables astrophotography even with large sensors with the highest edge sharpness up to the corners.

The newly developed "Dual Speed" focuser enables, thanks to the built-in micro reduction, very precise focusing in order to get the high sharpness of the lens on the chip.

The Vixen AX103S is the renowned telescope manufacturer's answer to overpriced Apos from Japan. This device does not have to hide behind the much more expensive photo apos neither from the optics nor from the mechanics. The AX103S comes from Japan.
