William Optics ZenithStar 61 Red AP 61/360 OTA apochromatic refractor

The ZenithStar series from William Optics consists of compact but very high quality apochromats, which are ideal for use with a DSLR camera. This enables very good wide-angle images of large star fields. In combination with the optional flattener, these are right up to the edge, resulting in a corrected image field of 45 millimeters in diameter.

The light and compact ZenithStar apo and a DSLR ideally fit a photo mount, such as the Star Adventurer from Skywatcher or the Star Tracker from iOptron - a light and uncomplicated system for astrophotography.

Z 61: Small can be so beautiful

The new ZenithStar 61 are the most versatile and light Apos from William Optics.

The sharp image allows high magnifications for visual observation and sharp images with any SLR camera for astro or nature photography. Thanks to the large field of view, the entire moon or - with a filter - the sun can be captured. A special flattener is available in the accessories area for photography.

The FPL-53 glass built into the lens of the ZenithStar 61 has significantly better dispersion properties than the previously used FPL-51 (ED). The quality of FPL-53 comes very close to that of fluorite glass, but it is significantly cheaper. This is why FPL-53 is sometimes referred to as synthetic fluorite.

The integrated L-holder for photo tripods is fully rotatable so that you can always align the camera as desired.
