The ASI178MCC color camera is equipped with a very high-resolution 8.92mm diameter CMOS sensor. The special feature are the extremely small pixels with only 2.4 μm. This allows a very high detail resolution even with short focal lengths. The new SONY STARVIS and Exmor-R technology produce very low-noise images with very high sensitivity. The camera is particularly suitable for high-intensity and high-resolution optics such as APO refractors or FastStar systems. Even with shorter focal lengths so high-resolution images.
