The ASI385MC Cool Color camera features a high-resolution 8.35mm diameter CMOS sensor. The special feature of this sensor is the extremely high sensitivity with a QE of up to 80%. The IMX385LOR is one of the most light-sensitive sensors in its class.

The new SONY STARVIS and Exmor-R technology produce very low-noise images with very high sensitivity. The moderate pixel size of 3.75μm makes the camera very versatile, it can be used on telephoto lenses as well as on Newton telescopes and well-corrected refractors. The compact sensor eliminates the need for a coma corrector on Newton systems f / 5 and higher. So you can even use the infrared light.

The "single-shot" color camera offers more comfort than MONO cameras. Not everyone wants to go through the elaborate L-RGB process for beautiful colored fog shots. The color cameras offer you the opportunity to get beautiful shots without changing the filter.
