Ultra-sensitive Aptina AR0132 CMOS sensor
CMOS sensors are now replacing CCD sensors in planetary photography, and Aptina's AR0132 sensor shows where the journey is headed. This improved version of the popular MT9M034 sensor offers the perfect combination of speed, sensitivity and quality.

The NexImage Burst Monochrome is a black and white camera that is more sensitive than a color camera. For color photos you need the Skyris filter wheel and the color filters.

A great way to get started with planetary photography
With the NexImage Burst, all you have to do is point your telescope at the moon, sun (with filter!) or planet and shoot a movie. Thanks to subframing, the NexImage Burst can be limited to an image section and thus deliver over 120 frames per second.

The software (only for Windows) analyzes each individual image, sorts out the fuzzy ones and aligns the good ones. The result is a bright, clear image with the best possible color and detail. The NexImage Burst is an excellent introduction to planetary photography, especially if you live in light-polluted areas: if you can see the planet in the sky, you can also use the NexImage and your telescope to photograph it.
