This Sky-Watcher SynCam 585C amateur astronomy camera is a very compact, passively cooled color CMOS camera with 8.3 megapixels, equipped with the proven Sony IMX585 sensor featuring square 2.9μm pixels.

Its primary applications are high-resolution planetary photography, as well as imaging of the solar and lunar surfaces. However, with its extremely low read noise and no amplifier glow, it can also deliver perfect results for beginners in deep-sky astrophotography of galaxies and nebulae. Detailed, low-noise images can be achieved using stacking or live stacking with compatible software.

Thanks to its compact design and light weight, it is an ideal partner for the Sky-Watcher HAX125DX Honders mini astrograph, as a larger camera would be oversized and obstruct the telescope's aperture. The black housing design prevents unwanted reflections.

The SynCam 585C camera is fully compatible with the ToupTek Astronomy Inc. software system and is supported by a wide range of astrophotography applications and control software.
