Astrophotographers almost always have to contend with uneven illumination within the imaging optics, dust on the sensor chip, and internal reflections—all of which degrade image quality.

The Geoptik Flat Field Generator is simply positioned in front of the telescope's aperture and switched on. The integrated flat-field screen generates a bright, absolutely uniformly illuminated surface—the ideal prerequisite for creating a flat-field image.
