StellarMate Pro is an advanced observatory-grade astrophotography controller. It is a powerful command center compatible with a wide range of astronomy equipment from various manufacturers.

Based on open-source technology, the StellarMate Pro offers a complete astrophotography solution. It ships with all the software and drivers required to operate astronomical devices, eliminating the need for additional third-party software.

In addition to its role as a dedicated controller for astronomical devices, the StellarMate Pro offers comprehensive power distribution capabilities. It can power up to four 12V DC devices, two 12V dew heaters, and an adjustable voltage output in the range of 3-9V. A regulated 12V @ 10A DC power supply (not included) is required to power all connected devices. The device comes with a rugged XT-60 connector rated for currents up to 60 A.

SM Pro features a built-in GPS/GLONASS receiver, providing the highly accurate location and time information required for accurate and reliable operation of your equipment, whether you're in the field or in a stationary observatory. Passive GPS and Wi-Fi antennas ensure good reception. Reliable communication between the SM Pro and your controller (mobile phone, tablet, or PC/Mac) is critical for proper operation.

A multi-purpose AUX port supports temperature/humidity sensors and future accessories. With a dedicated stepper motor controller capable of driving up to NMEA 17 stepper motors, you can control many focusing stepper motors directly with SM Pro.

SM Pro offers unprecedented freedom in choosing your preferred platform to control your devices:

Standalone: ​​Because SM Pro is a mini-computer, you can connect it to an external monitor via an HDMI cable and connect a mouse/keyboard to use StellarMate OS directly. However, since SM Pro is typically mounted on the telescope, this control method is not recommended.
Mobile: Control SM Pro remotely via Wi-Fi using the StellarMate app for Android/iOS. It is strongly recommended to run the StellarMate app on modern tablets/iPads with a screen size of 10" or larger. Although smartphones are also supported, the SM app is optimized for tablet use.
Windows/Mac/Linux: Use the Ekos astrophotography tool on Windows, macOS, or Linux. Control StellarMate remotely via WiFi, Local Area Network (LAN), or Wide Area Network (WAN). Ekos supports advanced features such as mosaic planners and schedulers.

StellarMate Pro is simple:

Learning StellarMate
For new users with no prior experience in astrophotography, using StellarMate effectively can require a bit of a learning curve (like anything else), especially given the breadth of features it offers. Video tutorials and manuals are currently only available in English. At this time, we recommend this product primarily for English-speaking and computer-savvy users.
