StellarMate X is a compact and powerful astrophotography controller that supports a wide range of mounts, cameras and other astronomical devices. It is based on open source technologies and was designed and built by astrophotographers for astrophotographers.

It offers unprecedented freedom to choose your preferred platform to remotely control your gear. You can use Eko's astrophotography tool on Windows, MacOS or Linux. Additionally, you can use the StellarMate app on iOS and Android to automate your complete astrophotography workflow. StellarMate X is simple:
1.) Connect your equipment (mount, camera, DSLR, focuser, filter wheel...) to StellarMate X via USB or WiFi.
2.) Connect to StellarMate X from either your mobile phone, tablet or laptop/desktop computer.
3.) Control your observatory and image from any major platform.

StellarMate X is quiet and has no moving parts. It's four times faster than its predecessor, StellarMate Plus, and has twice the memory and storage capacity, enabling fast and seamless control for the most demanding and high-resolution astro cameras. It features a special VESA mount that allows it to be attached to standard dovetails and clamps.

The feature-rich StellarMate app offers numerous features:

High precision polar alignment for GOTO and non-GOTO mounts. Achieve the perfect polar alignment!
Framing Assistant to automatically center and rotate the field of view to achieve desired alignment. What you see in the app is what you get in your camera.
Live stacking for spectacular images. See the fine details emerge as you receive more frames and increase the signal-to-noise ratio.
Achieve pinpoint stars with proven focusing algorithms suitable for both fast and slow focal ratios.
Explore a tailored list of destinations appropriate for your current time and location. One-click goto to center the target in the camera with sub-arcsec accuracy.
Gallery viewer with extensive metadata support. Find and sort your images or export them to your mobile device or computer.
Get up-to-date weather and sky quality data, including 3-hour cloud coverage.

mounting adapter
Connect the included mounting adapter by attaching it to the back of the StellarMate X with two M3 screws. The adapter has threads that can be connected to external rings or dovetails with the included 4x M6 screws. It is recommended to use the Ikarus Universal Vixen/Losmandy Clamp (sold separately) to attach StellarMate X to your Vixen/Losmandy dovetail.

Depending on the mount, you may need to purchase an additional cable to connect the mount to the StellarMate X. The available cables can be found in the recommended accessories. Mounts connected via WiFi or USB usually do not require special cables.

Learning StellarMate
For new users with no prior astrophotography experience, using StellarMate effectively (like anything else) may require a bit of a learning curve, especially given the range of features on offer. Video tutorials and manuals are currently only available in English. At the moment, we mainly recommend this product for English speaking and computer savvy users.
