The new sensational SONY EXMOR IMX571 chip was installed here, which has almost ideal properties for astrophotography:

The manufacturer Touptek has been a proven partner for microscope cameras for us for a long time and supplies mature software and drivers. The camera has very good electronics installed, which fully conveys the advantages of the sensor into the picture.

Camera Features:
Gain and offset can be adjusted separately in order to be prepared for high dynamics as well as for the lowest readout noise with short exposures.
We recommend: Gain zero and offset 100 as the basic setting, plus LowConversionGain (LCG) for the greatest dynamics, and HighConversionGain (HCG) for high sensitivity with little loss of dynamics. For DeepSky recordings, be sure to set low noise ("little noise") , that's to regulate the USB traffic! Also select RAW for non-debayed raw images.
The 2-stage, adjustable Peltier cooling is powerful enough to really cool a full 42 degrees below ambient - enough even for hot summer nights.
A window heater is installed, good for damp autumn nights so that the camera window does not fog up.
An external desiccant cartridge can be attached to draw moisture out of the sealed camera body.
On the back of the camera there are red LEDs for status display, and a USB hub with 2 USB2 ports, in addition to the USB3 camera connection.

Our side-by-side tests with other cameras using the IMX571 show the excellent quality of the DSPro2600.
The connection with APT, SharpCap and other control programs works without any problems via the Ascom driver.
The supplied ToupSky program offers extensive functionalities and is also excellently suited for planetary recordings; it can also display pre-debayed raw images with the correct colors (white balance).


Drying process to prevent the sensor from icing up:
the desiccant are small silica gel beads in a small tube (included)
you carefully pull off the stubble at the back (otherwise the beads will roll out) and place them in a small paper boat
the paper boat with the beads is placed in the microwave and baked for 4x 30 seconds
then put the beads back into the tube and screw it onto the camera (where it says: do not open).
leave it all for a day - you can also plug in the camera and have it read out so that it gets a little warm and the moisture evaporates better (but don't cool it!).
Immediately after unscrewing the camera, cleanly close it again with the seal on the screw.
