Products description

Omegon camera veTEC 432 M Mono
Item description:
The Omegon Pro veTEC 432 is a professional deep-sky astro camera. With very large pixels and thermoelectric cooling it is perfect for deep-sky astrophotography with long focal lengths. However, it is equally suitable for lunar, planetary, and solar photography.

Professional deep-sky astrophotography: The huge sensor is perfectly suited for extended nebulae, star fields or the lunar surface. Unlike most planetary cameras, this sensor is comparable to the generously sized sensors in DSLR cameras.

Thermoelectric cooling: The cooling system reduces image noise. At up to 40°C below ambient temperature, noise caused by dark current has almost completely disappeared. In addition, the precise control of the sensor temperature is very helpful for calibrating the astrophotos with dark frames: they can all be taken at the correct temperature. The final images are impressively low-noise.

USB hub: Two additional USB ports on the back of the camera reduce cable chaos! Additional devices (for example a guiding camera) can easily be connected to this hub. An additional cable connection to your PC from every single device is a thing of the past!

The camera can be adapted to almost any astrophotography setup - thanks to the T2 thread and the short flange focal length of only 17.5mm. A 2" adapter sleeve allows of course a telescope connection like any common 2" eyepiece.

The included robust case is filled with foam. So you don't have to worry about the safe transport of your valuable camera.

Professional planetary, lunar and solar astrophotography: The shadows of Jupiter's moons, divisions in Saturn's rings, detailed mountain ranges on the lunar surface and impressive prominences on the sun - These impressive targets in our solar system can only be photographed with a very high frame rate: This freezes the turbulence in our atmosphere (called seeing), which usually obscures small details. This lucky imaging technique is now child's play, thanks to sophisticated electronics and the high data transfer speed of USB3.0 cameras. We recommend the Region-Of-Interest function of the included Omegon AstroPhotoCapture software: This allows you to optimize the frame rate, since only the section of the sensor that is relevant for your target is read out.

Transmission: A filter protects the sensor chamber from dust and moisture. The Omegon Pro color cameras are equipped with an infrared blocking filter. CMOS sensors otherwise also measure the incident infrared light and make correct color reproduction in the finished image impossible. In contrast, the Omegon Pro mono cameras have an anti-reflex window, which transmits ultraviolet and infrared light in addition to visible light. So you have complete control over the transmission curve by using additional filters - a basic requirement for advanced photographic or photometric applications.

Practical capture software: The included Omegon AstroPhotoCapture software enables uncomplicated and easy-to-learn camera control. The correct camera setting parameters are crucial for successful astrophotography. AstroPhotoCapture gives you full control over all essential parameters - without an overloaded interface. Simple tutorials explain the capture process step by step to crown your first astrophotography night with success. The software is compatible with Windows 7, 8 and 10.

Compatibility: Omegon Pro cameras can be controlled by a wide range of imaging software via common ASCOM and INDI interfaces. Native compatibility with a growing number of popular programs such as PHD2 and N.I.N.A also exists.
