TS-Optics ToupTek monochrome astro camera 585MP with 1.25" filter wheel and 7 filters
The camera with the powerful Sony IMX585 sensor allows astrophotography on a very high level. This modern sensor can be used for all areas of astrophotography. The 3.7 µm pixels make this camera a high resolution all-rounder with highest sensitivity for short exposure times.

Another advantage is the sensational light sensitivity. The QE of more than 91% by the BACK ILLUMINATION technology already allow deep astro images with short exposure times. This makes the camera very well suited for deep sky photography.
.
Back-illumination technology
Sony´s back-illuminated CMOS imaging sensor improves sensitivity and noise reduction - key factors in improving image quality - by changing the basic pixel structure from front- to back-illuminated. The advantages of CMOS image sensors, such as low power consumption and high operating speed, have been retained.

The back illumination improves the light acquisition and increases the amount of light at the same time. This makes significantly shorter exposure times possible and leads to an improved quantum efficiency of more than 91%.

Sony has developed a unique photodiode structure and on-chip lens optimized for backside-exposed structures, this results in higher sensitivity and lower random noise without light by reducing noise, dark current and defective pixels compared to the conventional front-side-illuminated structure.

No amp glow
Conventional CMOS sensors produce a faint infrared light source during operation, which can often be seen in the corners of uncalibrated images as a telltale sign of "amp glow". Since the TS585MP uses zero amp glow circuitry, you don´t have to worry about amplifier glow even when using high-gain, long-exposure images.

Filter wheel
Typically, a filter wheel is used with a monochrome camera to facilitate the rapid and precise positioning of selected filters along the imaging path. An electronic filter wheel enables you to interchange filters without the need to remove the camera, thereby streamlining your process of astronomical image acquisition.

Filters
There are seven filters included, four filters (LRGB) for all objects and three filters (SHO) for emission nebulae:
The L filter acts as an infrared-ultraviolet cut-off filter, passing visible light between 420 nm - 685 nm with a high transmittance of 98%, enhancing the object´s contrast.
The R filter allows passage of deep yellow to red light from 590 nm - 700 nm while maintaining maximum transmission of H-alpha and [S II] emissions.
The G filter allows passage of blue-green to yellow light from 490 nm - 580 nm, which is the first to cut off the emission lines of mercury, sodium, etc. near this spectrum.
The B filter allows the transmission of violet to blue-green light in the 400 nm - 510 nm band, which is more targeted at objects containing 486 nm H-beta emission (such as the Horsehead Nebula).
The S-II filter transmits the deep red light of the [S II] lines at 671.6 nm and 673.1 nm, associated with H II regions where star formation has recently taken place.
The H-alpha filter transmits the red light of the H-alpha line at 656.28 nm which is the most important line of emission nebulae of almost any kind, especially with H II regions.
The O-III filter transmits the blue-green light of the [O III] lines at 500.7 nm and 495.9 nm, emitted by many emission nebulae, especially with planetary nebulae, supernova remnants and Wolf-Rayet nebulae.
