TS-Optics 20x80 Porro Binoculars - LE Series - Light Gathering Giant
The large binoculars are well suited for demanding nature observation and astronomy. Thanks to the photo tripod adapter, the image is steady despite high magnification.♦ 80 mm objective diameter collect a lot of light
♦ Porro prisms for more spatial impression
♦ 20x magnification allows a good detail recognition, but still offers enough field for searching and embedding in the starry sky
♦ Pleasant viewing with large eye relief, foldable eyecups for spectacle wearers
♦ Integrated tripod adapter - the image remains steady, the arms do not become tired
TS-Optics 20x80 porro prism binoculars from the LE series - high resolution
The 20x80 LE - High power Giant Binoculars for nature observing and for astronomy - including camera tripod adaptationNature observers and amateur astronomers who want a very high detail resolution and still do not want to miss a bright image will find a nice alternative with these inexpensive binoculars. The 20x80 LE collects almost 20% more light than comparable binoculars with 70 mm aperture. The image is correspondingly brighter. We can recommend these binoculars especially for the use under extreme light conditions, as they often occur in nature and bird watching and especially in astronomy.
Binoculars of the LE series are characterized by an excellent price-performance ratio. LE stands for "Long Eye Relief", which means long, comfortable eye relief. In general, good imaging is the main focus of the LE series. The lenses are multi-coated and offer a bright, high-contrast image with good sharpness in the field.
Features of the 20x80 LE
Particularly pleasant view due to long eye relief: With 17 mm interpupillary distance, the binoculars have, like all binoculars of the LE series, a very pleasant insight. The large field of view is easy to overlook.
Observations with eyeglasses are also no problem, the "soft rubber eyecup" can be folded down. This way the eyeglasses rest on the rubber and you have a very nice view even with eyeglasses.
Porro prisms: These prisms place the lenses on the outside and thus increase the spatial impression. They are usually less expensive for the same quality, which improves the price-performance ratio.
Full multi-coating: Not a matter of course is a multi-coating on all optical glass-air surfaces, but with the 20x80 LE this is also given. This gives you excellent image brightness with high contrast.
The integrated tripod adapter: Despite its moderate weight of 2300 grams, the 20x80 LE already has an integrated connection for photo tripods. You can mount the large binoculars on any standard photo tripod with 1/4" connection. We always recommend to use the binoculars on a photo tripod because a 20x magnification can no longer be used reasonably from the free hand. In the "recommended accessories" section you will find links to suitable tripods.
Fields of use
Nature observing, birdwatching, hunting: Wherever a bright image and yet a high resolution is required, the TS 20x80 LE will provide excellent performance. Due to the flexible carrying case the glass is still quite transportable. Once set up, you can take truly ultimate trips into nature, even under extreme conditions. Thanks to 20x magnification, you can observe distant objects as if you were standing just a few metres away.
Astronomy: 80 mm aperture collect almost 20% more light than 70 mm. Correspondingly more celestial objects you will be able to see. Observe many galaxies millions of light years away, or resolve star clusters in our Milky Way into individual stars. The integrated tripod adapter allows easy mounting on photo tripods.
