The Ultimate Powerbox V3 (UPBv3 for short) is the flagship of the Pegasus Astro Powerbox series. You asked for more features in the same size, and Pegasus Astro has delivered on its promise:
UPBv3 is a Wi-Fi and USB-controlled power hub. A USB 3.1 hub allows you to turn on and off 8 USB ports, 8 12 V power outputs, 2 adjustable outputs (3-12 V and 12-24 V), 3 dew-protection heaters, the Pegasus stepper motor controller, which can drive almost any stepper motor on the astronomy market with silent, low-vibration operation, as well as a power relay and an expansion port for devices that communicate with the UPBv3 controller!
If you're tired of carrying multiple power supplies and dealing with a tangled mess of power and data cables, the Ultimate Powerbox v3, a sophisticated power control unit, is the "ultimate" solution. The idea behind Pegasus Astro is to create a housing that provides a sufficient number of amps.
No cables interfere with the movements of the mount and the device; only the main power cable and a USB data cable are connected to the Ultimate Powerbox, from which the other cables branch off to power all devices.
A quick overview:

♦ Physical push button to control a function (e.g., turning outputs on/off). The functionality is configurable in the software.
♦ Built-in ambient temperature and humidity sensor
♦ Performance values (input voltage, current, current per port)
- VESA-compatible housing
A total of 8 powered USB ports - USB 3.1 SuperSpeed Hub
A USB 3.1 hub controller ensures that this USB hub functions flawlessly in temperatures from -40°C to +80°C.
A nice feature is that each USB port can be individually turned on and off via the software. Has a device crashed and you need to unplug and replug it in the middle of a cold night? No problem! Simply locate the port, click the ON/OFF button in our software, and the USB port is ready for use again. It's that simple!
The UPBv3 features:
♦ 6 USB 3.1 SuperSpeed ports
♦ 2 USB 2.0 High-Speed ports
Each USB port delivers up to 2.5 amps. All USB ports feature electronic short-circuit protection, additional ESD (electrostatic discharge) protection, and electronic overload protection.
6 12V DC Power Outlets for Your Devices
Six powerful, intelligent MOSFET transistors supply your valuable devices with (electrical) "juice." Sophisticated short-circuit and overload protection devices for each outlet interrupt the power and report the incident to the software. Each MOSFET is capable of delivering up to 6 amps of current.
Premium-quality metal output jacks ensure you get all the power you need and that your extension cords are safely routed.
Built-in Power Sensors
A precise voltmeter and ammeter (capable of measuring up to 20 A) measure and display power consumption in real time. If the input voltage exceeds 14.5 V, the power supply is immediately cut off to protect your devices.
Dedicated Current Meter for Each Smart 12V Outlet
Each "smart" 12V outlet has an internal and independent digital current meter. You can view the current consumption of each port in the software.
Additional Current Outputs and Sensors
Two 12V continuous outputs increase the total number of 12V outputs to 10. Combined with the two adjustable outputs (when configured to 12V), the total 12V outputs can be combined to 10 outputs. The two unregulated 12V outputs can deliver up to 8 amps. These 12V outputs always stay on!
One adjustable step-down output can be set from 3V to 12V and delivers up to 3 amps.
One adjustable step-up output can be set from 12V to 24V and delivers up to 4 amps.
3 Dew-Proof Heater Outputs - The three PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) outputs can power your thirsty dew-protection heaters/flat panels or telescope fans. Eliminate the humidity that clouds your equipment and ruins your clear nights. These outputs can be remotely controlled from your laptop using the included software.
1 switching relay can pass 250 V/10 A and can be used to turn external devices on and off.
A built-in ambient temperature and relative humidity sensor regularly displays the ambient conditions and automatically adjusts the heat intensity of your dew-protection heater bands.
Integrated Stepper Motor Controller
A stepper motor controller for quiet and low-vibration operation precisely moves your focuser's drawtube. The controller controls a Pegasus Motor Focus Kit or almost any other stepper motor on the market (unipolar or bipolar), such as Rigel, Robofocus, Moonlight, and Starlight motors.
Backlash compensation is already implemented in the firmware and can be enabled, adjusted, and disabled via software. A complete ASCOM6 focuser driver is already available.

Other Key Features
Zoomable and Exportable Charts
The software logs all voltage, current, temperature, and relative humidity readings. All these charts are zoomable and can be easily exported to PNG image and CSV text formats. Keep a complete record of your nighttime conditions.
Output Control Scheduler
Enable or disable each power or USB port by setting a timer and creating groups of ports.
Output Settings Saved for Startup
You can easily specify which output (power or USB) should remain on or off during startup. The settings are saved in the system's EEPROM memory.
Automatic Adjustment of PWM (Dew Heater Outputs)
The device can automatically adjust the heater outputs by polling the ambient sensor and calculating the dew point. Simply click "Auto" and let the Ultimate Powerbox v2 decide whether it's time to turn on your dew heaters.
* You can easily select which dew heater output is controlled by the "Auto Dew" function.
Reverse Polarity Protection
The Ultimate Powerbox is designed with reverse polarity protection. It will save your night if you accidentally connect the main power supply with reversed polarity!
Hardware Watchdog
A hardware watchdog resets the device if, for any reason, there is no response from the controller for two seconds. This is a useful feature in the unlikely event of a controller crashing if you own a remote-controlled observatory and need to be sure everything can be restored quickly.
Firmware Updatable
The firmware supports reprogramming via USB or Wi-Fi connection using upgrade software (available for Windows only) for future upgrades that may become available. Pegasus Astro continually receives feedback from its customers and updates the firmware and software with new features.
Support for the Unity Platform
Pegasus Astro's Unity Platform is the all-round application. The goal is to offer a robust and modern solution that supports current and future products under one roof.
This modern frontend enables full control over all Pegasus Astro devices.
In addition, a REST JSON API helps third-party software developers interact with their products.
As they continuously develop their applications based on customer feedback, many innovative features will be added in future versions.
